Statement by John Manly Regarding the Inauguration of USC President Carol Folt

John Manly, representing over 200 alleged victims of former USC gynecologist George Tyndall, demands the release of a secret investigation report on Tyndall, marking a crucial moment for transparency and change at USC under President Carol Folt.

“My alma mater USC has been stained by a succession of scandals in healthcare, sports, and admissions, and a culture of silence and cover-up at the highest levels of the University.

None of these is more tragic and disturbing than the sexual assault of thousands of young women over three decades by former USC gynecologist George Tyndall.

Board chairman Rick Caruso ordered an investigation of the Tyndall scandal by the law firm O’Melveny & Myers more than a year ago. At the time, he promised to make the results public, but this investigation has still not seen the light of day.

President Folt should demand that USC Trustees release the secret investigation report on Tyndall. This is a litmus test to determine whether there will be real change and transparency under President Folt, or whether it’s just business as usual at USC.”
