L.A.P.D.D officials said the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC)Taskforce received information about child pornography being uploaded to a social media platform from an unknown address in Los Angeles. Investigators later identified that the user who uploaded the materials was 67-year-old Lanctot, the retired RBUSD teacher.
"On February 9, 2023, LAPD ICAC investigators served a search warrant at Lanctot's residence in Los Angeles, where evidence was seized,” L.A.P.D. officials said in a statement.
Lanctot was arrested on charges of possessing Child Sexual Abuse Material, L.A.P.D. said.
The LAPD ICAC Taskforce believed there may be additional victims of Lanctot. Anyone who may have information about this case was urged to contact Detective Meares.
