Attorney

Sean P. Riordan

Sean is an attorney at Manly, Stewart & Finaldi focused on representing survivors of sexual abuse, assault, and harassment, against perpetrators and the institutions that enabled them — work he approaches with the same commitment to accountability that defined his nearly 15 years as a prosecutor.

“Sexual assault survivors deserve an advocate who understands what they have been through — in the investigation, in the courtroom, and in the moments in between. That has been my life's work, and it continues at Manly, Stewart & Finaldi.”

Prior to joining Manly, Stewart & Finaldi, Sean served as a Deputy District Attorney in three California counties: Orange, San Mateo, and Kern. Over the course of his nearly 15-year prosecutorial career, Sean tried more than 30 felony and misdemeanor cases to verdict.

Sean spent nearly five years dedicated to prosecuting sexual assault, rape, child molestation, and child pornography cases. He prepared victims and witnesses for the experience of testifying in court and served as their steadfast advocate throughout the process. Sean also led numerous sexual assault investigative trainings for local law enforcement agencies, as well as conducted trainings for the District Attorney’s office related to sexual assault investigations and prosecutions.

Earlier in his career, Sean prosecuted a broad range of crimes, including assault, driving under the influence, burglary/robbery, and murder. Sean also spearheaded the largest prosecution in San Mateo County history, a first-of-its-kind case in the nation targeting fraudulent Pandemic Unemployment Assistance applications submitted by incarcerated inmates.
