Third Lawsuit Brought Against Kevin Clash, the Voice of Elmo

A third lawsuit has been filed against Kevin Clash, the voice of Sesame Street’s Elmo. The lawsuit, filed in Manhattan federal court by a 28 year old individual known only as “John Doe,” alleges that Mr. Clash met the victim on a gay chat hotline when the victim was only 16 years old. According to the complaint, Mr. Clash invited the 16 year old over to his apartment where Elmo paraphernalia was strewn about. Mr. Clash plied the young man with alcohol and eventually engaged in sexual activity with him. Mr. Clash was 40 years old at the time.

Mr. Clash resigned from Sesame Street hours after a second allegation of sexual abuse came to light only a couple of weeks ago.
