Teacher and Gymnastics Coach Arrested on Suspicion of Lewd Acts With a Minor

Kiley Bedwell, a 28-year-old male kindergarten and first-grade teacher at University Preparation School in Camarillo, California, has been arrested on suspicion of lewd acts with a minor. Bedwell was also a gymnastics coach at Patty’s Gymnastics, also in Ventura County. Police say that the victim is 15 or 16 years old and female.

It has become apparent that this is not the first time Bedwell has been arrested on suspicion of lewd acts with a minor. Bedwell’s prior arrest came in 2008 in Maricopa County, Arizona. University Prep administrators claim that the prior arrest did not appear in a background check.

Bedwell is scheduled to next appear in court on April 28, 2015.
