Financial aid counselor Javier Alberto Williams of Saddleback College is accused of soliciting sex from students and extorting a student into sending him naked pictures. He is now facing criminal charges after he pleaded not guilty in April to a felony count of extortion, four misdemeanor counts of engaging and agreeing to engage in prostitution, and a misdemeanor count of receiving stolen property.
No longer employed on campus, Williams will attend the pre-trial hearing on July 11th and is out on a $20,000 bond. He allegedly asked a student to send him a naked picture of herself in exchange for him doing her a favor and processing late financial-aid paperwork, after which she reported him to authorities. Copies of the photos were later found on a few of Williams’ devices. The number of students he has sexually solicited is unknown, as is whether or not he engaged in any sexual activity with students.
