LAUSD School Police Officer Arrested on Suspicion of Attempted Child SexTrafficking

Mauricio Edgardo Estrada, a 28-year-old police officer with the Los Angeles Unified School District Police Department, has been arrested on suspicion of child sex trafficking. Estrada responded to a Craigslist advertisement offering a 15-year-old girl for sex in exchange for $150.00. The advertisement was in truth a sting operation, and Estrada was conversing with an undercover officer. Estrada is accused of buying condoms and going to meet the young girl for sex at a gas station.
