First of Three Victims Testifies against Catholic Priest in Criminal Child Abuse Case

The first of three victims in this Catholic child abuse case testified against Father Lopez today. The victims testimony related to the sexual encounters and communication he had with Fr. Lopez after attending mass at St. Thomas the Apostle Church. The testimony will be used to determine whether there is sufficient evidence to try the priest for abuse.

Fr. Lopez was admitted as a priest to the Archdiocese of Los Angeles after being rejected by the Church in San Bernadino because of Fr. Lopez’s history of abuse.
