Baseball Coach Pleads Guilty to Sending Sexually Explicit Texts to Boys

Edwin Alan Wikstrom, a former boys baseball coach at Katella High School in Irvine, has pled guilty to sending sexually explicit text messages to a young boy whom he met through his coaching position. Wikstrom was arrested in 2013, but only on December 7, 2015 did he plead guilty to four counts of exhibition of lewd material to a minor, two counts of lewd acts on a child 14 or 15, and a count each of possession or control of child pornography, sexual exploitation of a child and using a minor in the sale, distribution of obscene matter or production of pornography.

Wikstrom has been sentenced to 16 months in jail.
