Army Navy Academy Hires Ex-Prosecutor To Critique its Handling of Molestation Allegations

Following allegations and an arrest of a senior administrator at the Army Navy Academy in Carlsbad, California, the Academy has hired a former New York sex-crime prosecutor to critique its hiring practices and how it responded, or failed to respond, to persistent rumors about the perpetrator’s creepy proclivities.

Jeffrey Barton, who is 55, was arrested October 17th and charged with molesting two students at Army and Navy, one of them more than 50 times over a two-year period — fondling, oral copulation, sodomy — in his office, his cottage, his car and on overnight, school-sanctioned trips. He faces life in prison and has pleaded not guilty.

The lawfirm Manly, Stewart & Finaldi has represented victims of sexual abuse and severe hazing in lawsuits against the Army Navy Academy in the past, and is actively representing such victims today.
