Hazing & sexual abuse alleged at Army and Navy Academy

CARLSBAD, Calif. (CBS 8) - There are disturbing allegations of hazing and sexual molestation at a military boarding school in Carlsbad.

Two former students at the Army and Navy Academy have filed suit. To support their allegations, they say all you have to do is check out the videos on YouTube.

One video shows students engaged in a rowdy pillow fight during a field trip to Camp Pendleton. Another video shows students boxing in the dorm rooms. But perhaps the most disturbing videos are those showing students getting picked on, bullied and pinned down.

Ex-cadets sue Army-Navy Academy; claim molested, hazed

CARLSBAD — A civil lawsuit alleging systemic and sadomasochistic hazing at the Army and Navy Academy in Carlsbad is headed for a North County courtroom in June, and a second lawsuit alleging sexual molestation at the military school is expected to go to trial three months later.

The first lawsuit, originally filed by a former cadet in March 2008 in Orange County, where he used to live, is scheduled for trial June 4 in Vista Superior Court.
